  1. Farmer’s Expansion plus: VOTE: the 13th Character (May 25, 2016) (=>full update 19):
    • Politician
    • Former Actress
    • Ex-Convict
    • Homeless Man/Woman
    • Banker
    • Computer Hacker
  2. Five Language Editions Confirmed plus partnership with Galakta (=>full update 20 – May 25)
  3. Resin vs Plastic Miniatures PLUS New Add-Ons (=>full update 21 – May 26)
    • Resin is the best quality for details but costs more
    • Awaken Realms was making resin miniatures in house
    • 18 Furniture Sets in resin
    • Kids and Dog in resin
    • Miniature of a Cat in resin
    • Painted Rubble Die – a favorite idea from Michał Oracz, TWOM: TBG creator – an entirely new idea in the world of dice! We needed a die that would introduce a HUGE diversity in chances, with some being as high as 30% and others as low as 3% for a given side. The solution is almost trivial. We came up with a totally ASYMMETRICAL die. It has small and large sides and no center of gravity, it also isn’t perfectly flat, it has bulges and looks like a piece of a rubble or debris with some twisted pipes and damaged home equipment parts sticking out of it, more than a die used for board games. Of course it still has geometry that causes each roll to have a unequivocal, clear result and the die will never stop with no apparent result visible. In the game’s mechanics this Rubble Die represents a decision to sacrifice some time while searching through a location. We risk more than usual but instead we can find something more. You roll the die. In most cases the roll will mean one of the more probable results but from time to time a very hard VERY HARD to get result will be rolled and with it we will trigger an extremely rare finding or an event. The description of the symbols on each of the die’s sides will be printed on the cards that will come with it. Let me just add that not all result of the rolls will be to our liking. The Rubble Die brings certain risks with it and VERY RARELY a highly unpleasant adventure
  4. New Stretch Goal – Emira, the 13th Character backstory (=>full update 22 – May 27):

  1. Information about the Translations (=>full update 23 – May 28)
    The lowest print volume for the cards is 1,000. There have been only 300 orders for the Spanish translation, so Awaken Realms listed two possibilities
  2. Stretch Goal: Heart of the City & Hidden Objectives (=>full update 24 – May 29)
    • Six Hidden Objective cards add a slight amount of competition without breaking any of the co-operation mode style of the game
    • Heart of the City is their THANK YOU Stretch Goal – adds 5 cards and 50 more stories. After Scavenging you can risk going to the City Square where the angel statue is and people still gather.
    • Marcin (Awaken Realms founder) had this to say: this game focuses mainly on story and this is why Heart of the City comes with additional stories fully dedicated to it. But I would like to say, that the miniatures actually can add a lot of immersion into the game. We took the design process really serious – we were not doing just “cool looking minis” but we fully immersed ourselves into the story and tried to represent it with proper symbols. Just by looking at characters themselves, you can easily spot, that each of them has a token of their life before war. We also wanted to make them look like normal people, not some heroes. Heart of the city is our final effort to bringing immersion into the game. This monument [the angel statue] is meant to symbolize something, that the city was once proud of. Something beautiful and representing values of the local community. We want to show how much war can destroy those values and twist everything in its horrible way. As the title goes – this monument is the heart of the city. And this heart in shredded into pieces.
  3. Heart of the City unlocked! (=>full update 25 – May 30)
    • PLUS an addition to the mobile app – Noise Detector! We will add an idea that we had for quite some time now – a noise detector for the mobile app. Now, each scavenging will be way harder – because while discussing what to do with your friends you will have to whisper! If the noise is even slightly above average – you will get caught and get an additional encounter. This optional mini-game will be available for you as extra module that will make scavenging harder.
    • PLUS one further addition: A Postcard (vote for which one of the 3 choices)
    • PLUS a very short video example: rolling the Rubble Die
    • PLUS a 13 minutes video review of the game in Russian (with English subtitles):
      => Russian Video Review
      Conclusion at the end of the video: This War of Mine is a candidate for one of the ten best board games of all time.
  4. Project Funded! Thank you! 9,627 Backers! (=>full update 26 – May 31)
