Quick Guide
This War of Mine: The Boardgame is more of an experience than a game, but Awaken Realms has made a hybrid that is excellent in both aspects. The game is fantastic. The experience is something I had hoped for and received in full. [Note: this site is not for the video game and is not official]
1st Edition has been out for a few years. Now Awaken Realms is preparing an expanded 2nd Edition via a GameFound pledge (due for August 2026 delivery next year).

Another great game with lots of narrative is coming this fall: Rogue Angels. It is a space exploration with battles game that comes with over 1,000 pages of missions, map setups and branching story. It’s Official – Longest Endgame Yet!

Awaken Realms has announced today that This War of Mine 2nd Edition was the longest Endgame yet! (more on that below their image):
It was previously thought that Porthaven had a longer endgame to their campaign, and I found this posted on the Porthaven Gamefound page:
Now … compare that to the official This War of Mine 2nd Edition extended time from my own screenshot just before it ended:
- 1 day 7 hours 48 minutes (31 hours 48 minutes) for This War of Mine 2nd Edition endgame
- 1 day 7 hours 28 minutes (31 hours 28 minutes) for Porthaven endgame
So, yes indeed … This War of Mine beat that previous record held by Porthaven by a good TWENTY MINUTES!

The Pledge Manager should open Mid June, July or August
The campaign ended about 8:48pm Central USA time on May 16, 2025.
From the official FAQ:
After the campaign ends, there will be a 2-3 month delay until the Pledge Manager opens.
Therefore … Expect the Pledge Manager to open sometime after July 16 and before (or a bit after) August 16, 2025.
However … Update #17 (posted a few hours after the Endgame ended) stated that the pledge manager would open in 1-2 months … yes possibly one month earlier! So maybe as soon as June 16!
